More than 200 employee training professionals from around the country recently came together in St. Louis for BizLibrary’s 12th annual client conference, ALIGN. The conference was held August 26-28, 2019 at the Hilton Ballpark in St. Louis, Missouri.
ALIGN brings together learning professionals and practitioners from organizations of all sizes and industries to discuss best practices and trends within training, employee development, and learning technology.
This year, our conference had many exciting breakout sessions that covered topics like personal branding, emotional intelligence, skill gaps, the change management process, and employee engagement. Each session was engaging and incited enlightening conversations among attendees.
The keynote sessions were presented by Dean Pichee, CEO and Founder of BizLibrary, Justin Jones-Fosu, a business speaker, award-winning entrepreneur, and business consultant, and the president of Training Industry, Ken Taylor.
Dean Pichee’s speech started with the biggest challenges for learning and development in 2019, the steps behind building a reskilling program, and what skills are going to be critical in the next several years. Jones-Fosu challenged attendees to identify or reconnect with their why (purpose) and to live it out now (passion) in order to achieve meaningful success. Taylor’s keynote presented attendees with six key trends in corporate learning, as well as shared brand new, impactful research on corporate skill gaps.
Throughout the conference, attendees participated in networking events like the welcome reception, session breaks, and our much-anticipated casino night. Some may have even walked away with fuller pockets and a few prizes – a very fun night for all attendees!
