The recent Leadership Excellence and Development awards, or LEAD2018 Awards, saw many top leadership development and learning programs receive the credit they so deserve.

These programs are able to succeed because of the hard work and vision of the program managers, the constant test-and-adjust process that comes with employee learning, and a genuine dedication to developing high potential employees.

We would like to help celebrate the wonderful achievements of some of the winners who have partnered with BizLibrary, and offer them our sincerest congratulations.

Watco Companies

Watco is a Kansas-based transportation company that provides transportation, terminal and port, supply chain, and mechanical solutions for Customers throughout North America and Australia. Watco’s training efforts have led to several outstanding accomplishments for this organization.

In addition to being recognized as the LEAD2018 2nd place winner in the Best First Time Manager Program, the company has been recognized as being an industry leader in safety and compliance. The award recognizes organizations that do an outstanding job developing successful first time managers.

With a dedication to learning and safety, we’re excited to see Watco continue to grow as an industry leader.

Teel Plastics

For over sixty years, Teel Plastics has offered one of the Coolest Products in Wisconsin. This year, Teel Plastics was recognized as one of the 20 Best First Time Manager Training Programs, an honor they received after experiencing rapid growth in both quality and efficiency in 2016.

That year, the US-based manufacturer was named Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year, being recognized by their peers in the state business association, Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.

RK Stratman

RK Stratman is a top customized product provider in the screen print industry. They’re perhaps best known for being one of the 12 original companies granted licenses to produce the famous Harley-Davidson apparel.

Today, the company produces more than four million shirts every year. Developing that level of production doesn’t come easy, and that’s why the organization has adopted the Train the Trainer model. This model occurs when participants learn a subject and simultaneously learn how to teach others.

A model like this promotes learning and conversation within an organization, and very few companies do it as well as RK Stratman, who was recognized as having a Top 10 Train the Trainer program.

QS/1

QS/1, which specializes in scalable technology for the healthcare industry, was recognized as having a Top 15 Corporate University. This award recognizes organizations for excellence in leadership development through a formal Corporate University program.

Brandon Gibson, the program manager, started in 2016 and has radically changed the face of training at his organization. Check out this article we published last June about the awesome folks over at QS/1.

Monarch Beverage

Monarch Beverage is Indiana’s largest distributor of beer and wine.

Each day, the company delivers an average of 60,000 cases of product to retail clients throughout the state of Indiana.

Last year, Lloyd Brown, the training program manager at Monarch Beverage, spoke at our annual client conference, Align, and taught the audience how he was able to successfully market his Corporate University and ultimately prove a return on investment to Monarch’s leadership.

Thanks to Mr. Brown’s efforts, his organization has been recognized as a Top 15 Corporate University.

MarksNelson, LLC

This Kansas City-based CPA firm makes it a point to hire curious professionals.

Stated on their website, “At MarksNelson, we think curiosity is a virtue. Our professionals are curious about your business, vigilant about the details, committed to service, and value excellence in all things, big and small.”

Because of their dedication to curiosity, it makes sense that the organization was recognized as another recipient in the Top 15 Corporate University category.

Conductix-Wampfler

As a result of their hard work, and dedication to their values, Conductix-Wampfler was recognized for having one of the Top 20 Best Mentoring Programs.

HGA

HGA states their goal very clearly – to create a company and culture where everyone -employees and clients- can do the best work of their lives.

With goals like that, it’s no surprise that HGA was recognized for having a Top 15 Best Senior Leaders Program.
