Chris joined BizLibrary in February 2018. He is responsible for building strategic partnerships with clients to ensure the overall success of their various learning and development programs and goals.
Where are you from?
Newton, Iowa, which is a small town about 30 miles east of Des Moines. Fun fact – Newton was the original home of Maytag.
How did you end up at BizLibrary?
I started to follow BizLibrary on LinkedIn a few years ago because I knew they were a growing company in the HR SaaS industry and local to St. Louis. I then had a couple co-workers from my former company that started to work here and had great things to say. When a Client Success Consultant position opened, it seemed like a perfect fit.
Tell us a bit about your background.
I was an Account Manager for 8 years in the HR Compliance and Tax Management industry. As an Account Manager, I was responsible for working with clients to ensure success of their services by providing ongoing reviews and developing strategies with clients to improve metrics, resulting in increased ROI.
Prior to my experience as an Account Manager, I was a golf professional working at Country Clubs with a responsibility of golf shop operations, managing golf tournaments, and giving golf lessons. It is my experience in a Country Club atmosphere that began my passion for customer service.
What’s your favorite part of working at BizLibrary?
Working with clients who are excited about getting better every day through training. “Smarter Every Day” is one of our values at BizLibrary and it’s always fun and rewarding when we partner with clients who have the same goals.

Why is employee training important to you?
With my background in HR Compliance, I understand it’s importance, but I think what is most exciting is the ability to train beyond compliance into areas of personal and career development.
